How ConstructCount handles your data · 2026-10-20
1. Who we are
ConstructCount is a construction takeoff and estimating software by M2PB, available as a Windows app and in the browser (constructcount.com). Privacy contact: support@constructcount.com.
2. Data we collect
Account: name, e-mail and payment data processed by the gateway (we do not store card numbers). License: key and identification of activated devices. Projects: the PDFs you upload to the cloud, and the markups and takeoffs you create. We do not sell your data.
3. How we use it
Only to provide the service: read plans, show and sync your projects across your devices, generate reports, manage the license and provide support. Optional AI features (regional prices, report text, wall-type reading) receive only what is needed, when you use them.
4. Where files are stored
In the desktop app, projects stay on your computer. In the cloud, PDFs are stored in M2PB storage (Cloudflare R2) or, if you connect it, in YOUR Google Drive. The processing server keeps only temporary copies to display sheets.
5. Google Drive
Connecting Google Drive is optional. We request only the "drive.file" permission, which gives access ONLY to files ConstructCount itself creates (the "ConstructCount" folder and your project PDFs) — we cannot see any other file in your Drive. We also read your Google account e-mail to show which account is connected. We use this access only to store, open and delete your project PDFs. You can disconnect at any time in Settings → Cloud or at myaccount.google.com/permissions; the files remain in your Drive.
6. Limited Use (Google)
ConstructCount's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google Drive data is not sold, not used for advertising and not used to train AI models.
7. Sharing
We share data only with the providers needed to run the service (hosting, storage, payment gateway, AI providers when you use those features), under confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.
8. Security and retention
Connections use HTTPS. Access keys stay only on our servers. Projects are kept while the account exists; deleting a project deletes its PDF from storage. You can request deletion of your account and data via the contact e-mail.
